Central inhibition of cellular immunity to leukemia L1210 by isoantibody.
نویسنده
چکیده
Hyperimmune antibody (Ab) to leukemia LI210 inhibited the development of spleen cell-mediated immunity, as measured by an in vitro assay. Administration of 0.4 ml of Ab i.p. before i.p. challenge with tumor completely suppressed cellular immunity, but the same dose of Ab given after the tumor was relatively ineffective. The degree of suppression was not explainable entirely by killing of tumor cells. Synthesis of isohemagglutinins and cytotoxic antibodies was generally unaffected, further suggesting a "central" effect upon host

Specific inhibition of receptors for cytophilic antibody on macrophages by isoantibody.
macrophages usually observed 10 days after the challenge. Instead, the peritoneal cells of the host were small and monocytic, lacking stainable acid phosphatase granules and showing no attached or engulfed tumor cells. Addition of proved cytophilic antibody to L1210 failed to restore the capacity of the monocytes to attach L1210 cells in vivo or in vitro. However, Ab-suppressed peritoneal monoc...

In the present study, using anti-sense oligonucleotides the inhibition of expression of the PML protein hasbeen investigated. The anti-sense oligonucleotides were designed against the translation initiation site ofthe PML gene, and their effects were investigated on cellular growth and DNA synthesis. Incubation of normalhuman fibroblast cells with the anti-sense oligonucleotid...
متن کاملAnalysis and reversal of the inhibition of cytophilic antibody receptors produced by antibody.
Administration of hyperimmune antibody to leukemia L1210 to allogeneic mice inhibited the development of macrophage-mediated immunity to L1210 in those hosts. In contrast to immunized mice, animals pretreated with antibody showed rapid activation of their peritoneal macrophages, followed by their disappearance and the inability of the residual peritoneal monocytic cells to attach L1210 cells ev...
متن کاملAcceleration of allogeneic antitumor immunity with immune RNA in vitro and T-cell suppression by L1210 tumor bearer spleen cells.
RNA fractions extracted from the spleens of immunized animals prepared against L1210 leukemia cells can transfer allospecific cell-mediated immunity both in vitro and in vivo. Both preculture of nonsensitized lymphocytes prior to the treatment with immune RNA and additional culture of lymphocytes after 1-hr treatment with immune RNA enhance the growth-inhibitory activity of immune RNA-treated l...
متن کاملInduction of high-grade tumor-specific immunity in a host using a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte clone specific for a stable tumor antigen on murine leukemia L1210.
T-cell clone K4L, the cell surface phenotypes of which were Thy-1+, Lyt-1-, Lyt-2+, and L3T4-, was established from the spleen cells of a murine leukemia L1210-immune mouse. Clone K4L was specific for antigen B on L1210, and this antigen was different from antigen A for which the previously reported T-cell clone K7L was specific. K4L possessed cytotoxicity and tumor growth-inhibitory activity a...
